About Soul Search Art
Founded by Gabriel “Soul Search Art” Fleming, Soul Search Art is a contemporary art publication and curatorial platform dedicated to supporting and documenting emerging and established artists across disciplines. Operating at the intersection of editorial, exhibition, and community, the platform contributes to the evolving landscape of contemporary art through critical dialogue, visibility, and cultural engagement.
Through artist features, exhibition documentation, interviews, and cultural commentary, Soul Search Art examines the ideas, practices, and narratives shaping visual culture today. Each publication and curatorial initiative is approached with intention, centering not only the artwork itself, but the broader conversations surrounding contemporary creative practice.
Beyond publishing, Soul Search Art extends into physical space through curated exhibitions, hybrid programming, and collaborative projects that foster dialogue, accessibility, and creative exchange between artists, collectors, and communities.
As both an editorial archive and an active curatorial presence, Soul Search Art functions as an evolving record of contemporary artistic voices and movements shaping the current cultural moment.

Founder & Creative Director, Gabriel Fleming
Gabriel Fleming is a curator, cultural organizer, and founder of Soul Search Art, a contemporary art publication and curatorial platform focused on supporting and documenting artists across disciplines. Originally from New York City and now based in New Jersey, Fleming’s work centers on building sustainable creative ecosystems that connect artists, collectors, and communities.
Through exhibitions, editorial programming, and artist development initiatives, Fleming creates spaces where artistic practice is not only presented, but critically engaged. Her curatorial approach emphasizes both visibility and longevity, supporting artists in expanding their reach while maintaining ownership of their narratives and creative identities.
After establishing herself as a practicing artist and placing works with collectors, Fleming shifted her focus toward mentorship, infrastructure, and cultural programming, providing guidance, exhibition opportunities, and collaborative experiences for artists navigating the contemporary art landscape.
In 2026, Fleming serves as Chief Curator of Fine Arts and Board Director at DuYe Moves House on Governors Island, leading the organization’s Fine Arts Department while contributing to the expansion of exhibitions, creative programming, and artist support initiatives.
Her ongoing work continues through Soul Search Art’s publications, exhibitions, programming initiatives, artist-focused marketing platforms, and monthly editorial spotlights dedicated to contemporary creative practice.
